Who am I?

Good question! Haha.

I guess to a certain extent this is a question we are constantly asking ourselves as we continue to grow and change as a person as time moves forward.

In short, I am a positive, free thinking and energetic person who would be lost without having a creative outlet. My family includes two young children who always keep me on my toes so I always ahave plenty of inspiration to hand!

I absolutely love art and its genres for all that it brings to life. Whether I am creating personal, one-off portraits, collaborating with businesses, or designing illustrations for various children’s books or projects, I thrive on building a close rapport with my clients and seeing my products achieving the desired effect upon delivery.

Being able to take my hand to both traditional and digital drawing, helps add many strings to my bow and allows me to be able to take on a varied range of work.

Please don't be afraid to get in touch if you have any queries as I am more than happy to help!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to hear from you soon.

Process…

I work predominantly in watercolour and ink and like to engage with clients to fully understand their requirements.

After establishing what aspects of the person/animal/object my client would like the portrait to reflect, I then produce some draft images to discuss further.

Once the portrait’s factors have been agreed I begin the physical process. I don’t rule out the same approach for every portrait, but I do try to make choices that best capture the unique characteristics presented. I strive to achieve an accurate physical likeness while communicating the personality of the subject.

I like to share updates of the painting as it develops however, you are welcome to wait until it is completed for the final reveal! I work hard on making this as much of a collaborative process and encourage the thoughts and input of my client.
